8th October 2016, 7.30pm

Linlithgow Academy Theatre

Wind Quintet

Tickets: Full £12, Students £5

"Many musicians working in symphony orchestras cannot resist the temptation of also performing in smaller ensembles, embracing this exclusive repertoire. It gives us the opportunity for a much more intimate interaction with each other on stage, as well as with our audience. The ANEMOS ARTS ENSEMBLE was thus born not only out of love for music but also out of a desire to seek out this very personal contact with our listeners”.

The performers are all past or present members of the South Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Ensemble will give a narrated performance of “Peter and the Wolf” by Prokofiev at 3pm, for young listeners, followed by a concert for Wind Quintet at 7.30pm with the following programme:

 - Haydn: Divertimento

 - Danzi: Quintet in G minor

 - Ravel: Le Tombeau de Couperin

 - Mozart: Gran partita (first movement)

 - Barber: Summer Music

 - Arnold: Sea Shanties

Tickets are available for both performances. Children are invited to bring their parents, grandparents and other members of their families in the afternoon, and all are welcome in the evening!
