Scottish soprano Ellie Donald studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Linda Ormiston and Wilma MacDougall. Her interest in music’s role in our development and within society led her to progress onto the master's program, “Music Psychology in the Arts”, at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, from which she graduated in 2024. She is currently studying with Wilma MacDougall.
Since her studies, she has performed as a soloist with the Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society, the Glasgow Bach Cantata Project, and attended the Oxenfoord International Summer School where she received masterclasses with Susan Bullock, Malcolm Martineau, Joan Rodgers, and Marie McLaughlin. She has enjoyed recent recitals at the Burrell Collection in Glasgow, St Andrews Cathedral, Aberdeen, The Parish Church of St Cuthbert, St Vincents Chapel and St Cecilia’s Hall, Edinburgh. Recently, she was awarded runner up in the Charles Wood Festival Song Competition in Armagh, with a jury including Danielle De Niese, Paul Farrington and Carolyn Dobbin. She will return to Ireland in August as a guest singer for their lunchtime recital and gala concert.
Ellie looks forward to moving to London in September, generously supported by The Royal Academy of Music to study on the Opera Diploma, under under the tutelage of Mary Nelson.
Edyta Mydlowska, a Polish pianist, commenced her musical journey at eight, graduating with distinction in Gdansk. She earned First Class Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying with renowned mentors. Engaging in global festivals and courses, she collaborated with esteemed musicians, orchestras and performed for Royal family dignitaries, such as HRH King Charles and Princess Anne. Edyta garnered international acclaim, winning numerous piano competitions and contributing to world premieres like 'Waulking Songs' at Plug 2021. Her repertoire extends to orchestral performances, recordings, and radio appearances, showcasing versatility. Edyta performed at prestigious venues such as Baltic Philharmonic Gdansk, RCH Glasgow, Royal & Derngate Northampton, Vienna Philharmonic. Her performances spread across Poland, UK, Italy, Austria, Netherlands and Switzerland. Edyta's discography includes a Cello & Piano album and solo works by Bortkiewicz in 2021, as well as contemporary video game tracks. Edyta is a co-founder of Soteria Ensemble, featuring in prestigious venues and festivals. Notable accolades include recording of Scriabin’s Piano Concerto with RSNO and a 2022 Art Film Award-winning collaboration with Fay Guiffo.
