Chloe Moodie is in her first year studying Piano Performance (BMus Hons) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. She has been receiving lessons from Saša Gerzelj since she started at the Junior Conservatoire in February 2024. As a winner of Perth Youth Orchestra's Concerto Competition 2024, she performed the first movement of Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No.1 in G minor at the orchestra's Spring and Autumn concerts in venues including Greyfriars Kirk - during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - and Perth Concert Hall. She thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of learning this piece. She was thrilled with the opportunity to see the drama and colours Mendelssohn creates in it brought to life, performing with such a fantastic youth orchestra. Chloe developed a love for music at a young age and started receiving piano lessons from her mum at 5 years old, later working with various teachers throughout high school.
