Orchestral performances have always been popular at Linlithgow Arts Guild. We welcome back this popular established group of outstanding players, conducted by Neil Mantle, with guest soloist Natasha Day (Mezzo) in a programe of music by Wagner and Tchaikovsky. All are welcome!

The Orchestra
Sinfonia was founded in 1970 by Neil Mantle and has to date performed over two hundred concerts. It has a basic playing strength of ninety, augmented or diminished as required. It is a highly successful mixture of professional musicians, instrumental teachers and amateurs with an age range of seventeen to seventy all united in one common aim; to make music to the highest standard of which they are capable.
Natasha Day (Mezzo)
Scottish-Polish soprano Natasha day won a scholarship to the Royal College of Music from where she graduated with First Class Honours. A recipient of the Midori-Nishiura Award, she studied on a postgraduate course at the RCM and went on to train at English National Opera. She then completed her studies at the RCM's International Opera School. She has performed numerous operatic roles and concert engagements.
