"As comfortable performing exciting pop tunes as they are intricate classical compositions, Gallus Brass Quintet is a dynamic ensemble of Glasgow-based freelance musicians. Gallus was formed in the Autumn of 2021 as the musicians were completing their postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has since gone on to perform in venues across Glasgow, Scotland and Europe. The quintet draws inspiration from a variety of musical genres, including classical, jazz, musical theatre and contemporary works, and have been known to perform anything from original brass quintet compositions to arrangements of film music all in the same program. Recent accomplishments include a rooftop concert at the Victoria International Arts Festival in Gozo, Malta and a highly commended performance in the David James Brass Prize. Regardless of venue or genre, Gallus Brass Quintet strives to create high quality performances that keep audiences engaged and entertained!"
