Anna MIchels is a Scottish-Dutch pianist also studied at St. Mary’s at the same time as Richard. She graduated from the Maastricht Conservatoire and is now studying for a Masters at RCS. During her time in the Netherlands she was a prize-winner in several international competitions, both as a soloist and chamber musician. She gives lecture-recitals and has also recently joined the staff at St. Mary’s as a Keyboard Faculty Assistant.

The duo have been making music together since their time at St. Mary’s. While considering themselves international musicians their personal mission is to expand the reach of exceptional chamber music in Scotland. Engaging with audiences is central to their approach towards performance and they will introduce each piece in its historical context. While reflecting on their personal responses to the music.
